I founded and led NeuRace. I built its sensor hardware and machine-learning pipeline, then ran it as a service with professional Grand Prix teams. It combined driver brain and biometric signals with car telemetry so teams could see how drivers responded on track.

Personalized support / families
BrightStory
I co-founded a startup that creates personalized visual stories to help neurodivergent children and their families prepare for unfamiliar experiences.
03
Patient education / families
Bravely
A patient-education platform created with Dana-Farber clinicians, child-life specialists, and social workers to help children with cancer and their families understand what to expect.
04
Interactive stories / workplaces
Safar
An interactive-story platform for workplace learning teams, built so people can practice consequential decisions rather than only read or watch.
05
Skills assessment / education
ZoneSight
A learning-telemetry product I developed to identify behavioral evidence of hard-to-measure competencies. We partnered with a nationwide provider and published it at IEEE EDUCON 2025.
06
Workforce development / youth
The Possible Zone
As Chief Innovation Officer at this Boston workforce-development organization and youth business incubator, I led technology, product, and AI strategy, including the development of ZoneSight.
02 / PUBLIC SPEAKING
Talks & public engagements.
Keynotes, conference talks, and executive briefings on AI, learning, healthcare, and human performance. Available for speaking, panels, and workshops.

Keynote at Semana Caldeira
The Bridge Is the Breakthrough: Building AI Innovation with Healthcare, Not Simply for It. I spoke about building AI with the people doing the work, testing it in responsible settings, and measuring it against outcomes that already matter. I also joined the healthcare panel that followed.
2025Washington, D.C.
Workforce policy advocacy on Capitol Hill
Joined a delegation of workforce-development leaders for meetings with congressional representatives and staff, advocating for workforce technology, entrepreneurship, and preparation for the jobs of the future, including priorities tied to WIOA.

ZoneSight: Generative AI for Assessing Practical Competency in Project-Based Learning. ZoneSight is a learning-telemetry system for unstructured, experiential training environments. It analyzes speech and project-work data to surface evidence of practical competencies that conventional assessments often miss.
2024Austin, Texas
TCEA AI for Educators
Navigating Safely: Empowering Stakeholders, Streamlining Staff Operations, and Informing Technology Policy. I shared a practical approach to helping people use AI well, improving staff workflows, and turning what an organization learns into responsible technology policy.

White Matters: Musical Training & the Brain in Adults. I presented research comparing white-matter pathways in adult singers, instrumentalists, and non-musicians.
My doctoral training was in the Harvard–MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, supported by an NIH training grant. Across doctoral and postdoctoral work, including at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, I studied how auditory–motor systems adapt through expertise and disorder. My dissertation was Structural and Functional Adaptations of the Auditory-Motor System: Insights from Expertise & Disorder.
2011
Music and the brain
At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, I studied white-matter pathways in singers, instrumentalists, and non-musicians. The work was published in Frontiers in Neuroscience.
2012
Stroke and aphasia
I won an IDEA2 grant to develop a new approach to treating stroke-induced aphasia.
2005–07
Brain-computer interface
Worked on an EEG and event-related-potential system for people with ALS at the University of South Florida.
